Security

The Insurance Cloud takes the security of your data very seriously as do our insurance partners, who all have their security policies. Industry-standard secure sockets layer (SSL) 256-bit encryption technology is used by our site to ensure that all your personal and financial information is encrypted before transmission. When the closed padlock icon appears at the bottom right or top of your browser, you are in a secure area of The Insurance Cloud. Our powerful security measures are intended to safeguard your privacy from unauthorised access or improper use and we will continue to update our security measures as new security technology becomes available.

Third-Party Site Security

The Insurance Cloud is not and cannot be responsible for the privacy policies and practices of our partners and their websites or other services that you may use but that we do not control. We request (but cannot insist) that our partners show the same commitment to security and also offer SSL encryption throughout their quotation process wherever possible, but if you access a third-party website using a link from The Insurance Cloud we recommend that you check their security policy during the visit.

Password Protection

To help keep your data secure, we require you to choose a password to access your data on our site. This password is also used to access any quotes weโ€™ve saved for you. Your password is unique and helps us to protect your personal information. We strongly recommend your password has a combination of letters (both upper and lower case), numbers and other characters and is of a reasonable length. You must keep this password safe and must not disclose it to anyone. It is also a good idea to change the password periodically, which you can do from your account home page.

Forgotten Your Password?

Not a problem, itโ€™s why we ask you some additional questions when you create your account. There are several ways that we can help you if you forget your password. The most straightforward is to simply click the โ€˜forgotten password?โ€™ link that appears just below the box into which you would type your password, complete the details and we will email your password to the address you have provided us previously. If you have changed your email address, you will need to contact us and we will guide you through the rest of the process.

And Finallyโ€ฆ

Donโ€™t forget that internet-based communications are not secure unless they are encrypted, which means you shouldnโ€™t put sensitive information in an unsecured email or webmail (most email and webmail services are not encrypted). The nature of the internet means any communications may route through several countries. We cannot accept responsibility for any unauthorised access or loss of personal information that is beyond our control.
